How Do I Meet People?

Vergas United Methodist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Vergas United Methodist Church.

Adult Sunday School

During the winter months an on going study is held before services during our adult Sunday school.  Currently viewing the DVD series by Lee Strobel “The Case for Christ”

Men’s  Group

The men of the church sponsor an active group, doing many projects both at church and in the community.  Their annual Ham dinner in the spring and Brats & Beans during Looney days help to fund their donations to various local projects and charities throughout the year.

Small Group

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, Vergas United Methodist Church has a number of small groups and opportunities to get together for social and spiritual growth.

United Methodist Women’s Group

Vergas United Methodist Women’s Group gives the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s group is held in the church Social Hall the third Thursday of the month, April thru December.  They raise money thru out the year to help support our Sunday school, Camper-ship, and various other groups and missions.  This time is spent in socializing, discussing fund raisers, devotions, prayer (and, of course, food). These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

Youth  Group and Children’s Ministry

Vergas UMC has many opportunities for the children and young adults of our church.  We are always striving to incorporate new and exciting groups and activities for the our younger members.  Please visit our youth pages in the drop down menu for news and announcements.
