On Going  Mission
Which do you need more: food or money?
Money goes much further. We can stretch your dollar through our partnerships with the food industry. We obtain truckloads of produce just for the cost of freight and handling. For every dollar donated we can get 8 times more food.

The Bridge Community Food Shelf Perham Food Shelf_Food clip2

The Bridge Community Food Shelf, Inc.is a nonprofit agency that provides food to families and individuals who need an occasional helping hand. We provide good quality food that has been either donated, purchased from North Country Food Bank or locally.

Our goal is to meet the basic needs of our users while improving their nutritional well-

being. For us to meet our goals, we need your support. The amount of food distributed by our Food Shelf has been increasing each year as the number of families needing support continues to increase. The face of hunger is not what most people think.  In fact, the working poor are the fastest growing group of food shelf clients.   38% of households using food shelves report the family’s major source of income is paid employment…

The Bridge Community Food Shelf relies heavily on the generosity of local individuals, churches and businesses and others to supply food for distribution to our clients.  In addition monthly shipments of USDA supplied products help supplement the Food Shelf needs.

The dedicated staff and volunteers of The Bridge Community Food Shelf work hard to make food available on a weekly basis for our clients.  The need is clear.

Your continued support is essential in providing the temporary assistance clients need to make it through the month.
